Beth Farnham

Beth Farnham grew up in a Baltimore rowhouse, the daughter of a nurse and a heating and cooling technician.¹ She and her husband, Rob, married at Gettysburg Presbyterian Church and settled in Adams County, where they are raising children who attend public schools.² Their household also includes a dog and a loud, fluffy cat.¹

She put herself through college and became the first person in her immediate family to graduate.¹ Her studies covered biology, French and secondary education.¹ Her working life has included jobs as a credit analyst, an administrative assistant for a lift company and a pharmacy technician, alongside years spent raising her children at home.²

Farnham has served on the Conewago Valley School District board and as an Adams County Democratic Committee member.³ Her own political affiliation changed after more than twenty five years as a registered Republican: she became a Democrat in 2019.³ In her public introduction, she also mentions driving a used hybrid and owning one blue suit.¹

Her platform calls for universal health coverage, federal protection for abortion and contraception, and a higher federal minimum wage.⁴ She also advocates clear paths to citizenship for immigrants.² She is again challenging Republican incumbent John Joyce for the district's House seat.⁴
