Chris Lancia

Chris Lancia grew up in Bridgeport with a father active in local politics.¹ Now a Milford father of two, his family biography includes a son who plays football and wrestles and a daughter involved in competitive sports.² Lancia himself has worked in military service, federal law enforcement and telecommunications.²

A Coast Guard veteran, he later trained at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and completed maritime law enforcement training.² He earned a bachelor's degree in emergency management from Post University.² His current work is as a manager at TNI, a company that provides fiber networks.²

This is his first campaign for elected office, although he describes earlier experience working behind the scenes in politics.¹ A former Democrat who once voted for Rosa DeLauro, he became an independent before joining the Republican Party around Barack Obama's second term.¹ His campaign supports lower taxes, a balanced federal budget, gun rights and greater parental control over education.²

Lancia proposes an eight year limit on congressional service and larger Social Security benefit increases.¹ He also wants Congress to reassert its authority over war and opposes continuing the Iran conflict.¹ Listed on the ballot as Christopher Lancia, he faces Democratic incumbent DeLauro on November 3 in Connecticut's 3rd District.³
