Biography
Jason Clark grew up in Aurora, attending Sagebrush Elementary, Laredo Middle and Smoky Hill High School before heading to West Point.1 He describes himself as coming from a working class Colorado family and has spent more than three decades in business in the same area where he went to school.1
Clark graduated from West Point in 1992 and has worked as an entrepreneur and small business owner.1 His professional history also includes work as an independent investment adviser.2 His congressional campaign draws on those local and business connections, identifying the cost of rent, education and health care as his leading concerns.1
He argues for smaller government, fewer taxes and fees and less regulation on businesses and housing development as ways to improve affordability.3 His platform also emphasizes employment and reducing crime, while his campaign says it wants every Colorado child to have an opportunity to succeed.13
Clark supports legal immigration and enforcement of immigration law but has criticized overly aggressive ICE tactics.3 He also disagrees with President Donald Trump on tariffs and the Iran war.3 He is the Republican challenger to Democratic incumbent Jason Crow in the Sixth District, offering voters a change in party representation while separating some of his positions from the president's.3
