Randy Weber

Randy Weber has kept his life close to the Texas Gulf Coast, where his official biography says he has always lived within a twenty mile radius.¹ He and Brenda, a retired schoolteacher, have been married for more than forty five years and have three children and eight grandchildren.¹

Weber founded Weber’s Air & Heat in 1981 and built the air conditioning company before entering Congress.¹ His education includes graduating from Alvin Community College and earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.¹

Before his federal service, he spent four years in the Texas House of Representatives.¹ There, his committee assignments included environmental regulation and public education, and he was vice chair of Border and Intergovernmental Affairs.¹ In Congress, he serves on Energy and Commerce and on Science, Space and Technology, after previously serving on Foreign Affairs and Transportation and Infrastructure.¹

His current proposals include the PACK Act, which would establish national standards for recycling, composting and reuse claims on packaging, with independent certification and Federal Trade Commission oversight.² The full Energy and Commerce Committee approved the proposal by a 25 to 18 vote in September 2026.² Weber faces Democratic former Port Arthur Mayor Thurman Bartie in November.³
