Ron Eller

Ron Eller grew up in a household headed by a single parent in West Virginia and married his childhood sweetheart, Dorie.¹ The couple have two sons.¹ Away from his professional work, he has competed in archery at the Mississippi State Games, earning gold, silver and bronze medals.¹

Eller served 20 years on active duty in the Army, starting as a combat medic and retiring as a captain.¹ His service included work as a squad leader, platoon sergeant and medical officer.¹ His Army career also included time as a warrant officer before commissioning.¹ He trained as a physician assistant, earning degrees from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, including graduate study in cardiovascular surgery.¹

His medical career has included cardiac and thoracic surgical work in Mississippi and service on the open heart surgery team at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.¹ He also founded Buck Warrior Enterprises, a manufacturing business, in 2013.¹ In this campaign, Eller supports education and job skills training for prisoners as well as young people.²

He favors a border wall, nationwide recognition of concealed carry licenses, voter identification requirements and limits on vaccine mandates.² His platform also calls for people who entered the country illegally to be permanently barred from federal voting, even if they later become United States citizens.² The race is a rematch with Democrat Bennie Thompson, who defeated Eller in 2024, and also includes independent Bennie Foster.³⁴
