Clay Fuller

Fuller grew up in north Georgia and captained Emory University's basketball team before training in public administration and law.

Biography

Before law and politics, Clay Fuller captained Emory University's basketball team, earning an English degree before pursuing public administration at Cornell and law at Southern Methodist University.1 Raised in the north Georgia mountains, he and his wife, Kate, have two children.12

Fuller served as district attorney for the four county Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, prosecuting violent crimes and arguing cases in Georgia's appellate courts.1 His military career includes service as an Air National Guard lieutenant colonel and deputy staff judge advocate.1 As a White House Fellow in 2018 and 2019, he worked in the vice president's office and Defense Department on issues including the opioid crisis and military family concerns.3

In 2024, his military legal work took him to the Combined Air Operations Center, including Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.3 He entered Congress in April 2026 after winning the special election for Georgia's 14th District and took the oath on April 14.2

The Republican now faces Democrat Shawn Harris for a full term.4 Fuller supports President Trump's immigration enforcement agenda, expanded manufacturing employment, gun rights and stronger action against fentanyl trafficking.3 His campaign places prosecution and military legal experience at the center of its argument for public safety and national security policies.3
