Jason Pearce

Jason Pearce grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School.¹ He says his first job was cleaning horse stables at 12 in exchange for free horse rides, followed by paid work at an ice cream parlor at 14.¹ He says the stable work lasted about six months before he began playing middle school football.¹ His favorite book, he told Ballotpedia, is Animal Farm.¹

His work has included cooking, restaurant management, sales training, mortgage lending and insurance advising.¹ His broader work history also includes customer service and security management.¹ Pearce says he worked as a mortgage loan originator from 2019 to 2021.¹ His campaign biography describes periods of working two jobs and long weeks while trying to cover rent, food and health insurance.²

Pearce says the 2024 election prompted him to leave his job and use savings intended for a home toward his congressional campaign.² His published responses call for restricting corporate ownership of single family housing, expanding Medicare and lowering prescription drug costs.¹

His campaign identifies affordable housing, higher wages, stronger Social Security benefits, clean air and water, and reducing money's influence in politics as priorities.² On foreign policy, he argues that prolonged wars are a policy choice Congress should reconsider.² Pearce faces Republican Pat Fallon.³
