Jonathan Chavez

Jonathan Chavez began mowing lawns at thirteen, following a family tradition: he says his grandfather immigrated from Mexico and supported thirteen children doing the same work.¹ Now a married father of four, Chavez describes building a better future for his family and community as a reason for seeking office.²

He served in the Air Force from 1990 to 2013, including deployments to Iraq.¹² His education continued with a bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in 2014, followed by graduate degrees at Harvard in 2019 and Johns Hopkins in 2023.¹ His campaign describes studies spanning business, finance and healthcare administration.²

Chavez previously ran for Congress in Georgia's 4th District in 2022 and its 13th District in 2024.¹ His current platform calls for term limits, public scorecards and closer scrutiny of infrastructure delivery, emphasizing how a congressional office would account for its work.³

The Republican faces Democrat Jasmine Clark in the 13th District.⁴ Chavez supports Medicaid expansion, rural telehealth and wider patient choice, alongside lower taxes on working families and support for small businesses.³ He also proposes improved roads, transit and broadband, plus stronger classroom funding and career training, making healthcare access and neighborhood infrastructure central to his case for election.³
