Biography

Pat Fallon played football at Notre Dame under Lou Holtz and was part of its 1988 national championship team.1 He later completed the 2016 World Marathon Challenge, running seven marathons on seven continents in seven days despite never having run a marathon before.2 His event entry was intended to support fundraising and awareness for pediatric cancer research.1

After graduating from Notre Dame, Fallon received an Air Force commission and served at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls.1 His civilian career has included founding businesses and serving in both the Texas House and Senate before entering Congress in 2021.1 His earlier local government service included Frisco City Council from 2009 to 2012 and mayor pro tem from 2011 to 2012.3

Fallon now chairs the Armed Services Military Personnel Subcommittee and also serves on the Intelligence and Oversight committees.1 He has described protecting Sheppard Air Force Base, Red River Army Depot and other Texas military facilities as part of his congressional work.2

He supported the 2025 Republican tax and spending package, highlighting tax cut extensions and increased immigration enforcement and defense funding.4 His statement emphasized missile defense, the domestic defense industrial base and deterring China in the Indo Pacific.4 Fallon faces Democrat Jason Pearce.5

Record and controversies

Late financial reports and dismissed referral

In 2022, the Office of Congressional Ethics referred Fallon's financial reporting to the House Ethics Committee after finding reason to believe that 122 transactions in 2021 had not been disclosed on time.6 His attorney said he had misunderstood the reporting requirements and instituted a new compliance process.6 The House Ethics Committee dismissed the referral in 2022.7 Contemporary reporting quoted the committee's finding that there was no clear evidence the errors were knowing and willful, and noted corrective action.8 The cited review concerned financial disclosure timing and did not establish insider trading.6

Military base businesses and a 2021 discovery request

In 2021, Just the News reported that businesses listed in Fallon's financial disclosure held agreements to sell apparel at military installations while he served on the House Armed Services Committee.9 A former business partner filed a Texas petition seeking depositions and financial records to investigate potential claims about profits, ownership and access to company information.10 The petition requested discovery before a potential suit or arbitration; it did not establish fraud or another legal violation.10 Fallon declined to comment through his spokesperson in the contemporaneous report.9 A later public disposition of this private business matter was not verified by October 28, 2026.10
