Sam Gallucci

Gallucci started his career at IBM and rose through the software industry before becoming a pastor.

Biography

Sam Gallucci's career has taken him from corporate software to a church pulpit and work with people experiencing homelessness. He lives in Oxnard with his wife, Toni, and has three children and nine grandchildren.1

He began at IBM after college in 1981 and later became an executive vice president and general manager at PeopleSoft. His account of that career describes growing dissatisfied with material success and deciding to devote more of his life to helping others.1

Gallucci became a pastor and founded charitable organizations, including work providing emergency shelter and transitional housing for women and children. His community efforts have also supplied food and other resources to farmworker families. He has served as senior pastor at Embrace Church, following years of business leadership.1

His platform calls for homelessness services combining treatment, coordinated care and housing tied to progress. He also emphasizes parental rights in education, lower living costs and border security alongside a legal immigration system he describes as humane.2 The Republican faces Democratic Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin for the Twenty Sixth District seat. Irwin's background includes systems engineering.3 Her public service includes local government and Assembly work on cybersecurity, college access and veterans' services.4
