Tony Kozycki

Tony Kozycki has been a college baseball player, a Navy flight officer and an immigration lawyer, and his campaign also introduces him as a father and coach.¹² He grew up in LaGrange, Georgia, before attending the United States Naval Academy, graduating in 2008.²

Kozycki completed three combat deployments supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve and received three Air Medals, according to his campaign biography.² He also served as a Navy liaison with the Royal Australian Air Force, working on joint operations.² His professional directory lists training on the F/A-18F Super Hornet and a Naval Academy degree in economics.¹

After military service, he earned his law degree at Georgia State University in 2021, graduating summa cum laude.¹ His legal work includes immigration and criminal defense, with earlier internships in public defense and the Department of Homeland Security's litigation division.¹

The Democrat is challenging Republican Rich McCormick for Georgia's 7th District.³ Kozycki proposes an expanded Child Tax Credit, deductions reflecting actual childcare costs, restored enhanced Affordable Care Act premium assistance and a ban on congressional stock trading.⁴ On immigration, he supports stronger action against trafficking, modernized legal processing and permanent protections for Dreamers, putting both enforcement and due process in his platform.⁴
